Just kidding but there is no real reason we can not fish gillnet in Florida except for greedy and jealous people. In North Carolina the fishermen have been fishing for mullet with gill net for well over one hundred years and the mullet population is still very strong. It is also the same in Florida and Louisiana and there is no reason for any net bans in any of these states.Gillnet is a very safe way to harvest fish without killing the juvenile fish.
