This was a cool trip! I was at the Doral Golf Resort in Miami the week prior to the PGA tournament. The main course was closed and with no one golfing, I worked around the rough of the Blue Monster (famous trade mark water hole of the Doral) catching Bass, Blue Gill, Peacock Bass, and Tilapia. I even jumped a 15 to 20 pound Tarpon on my 3 weight! but after 3 jumps and a minute battle, he wore through my 8 pound tippet. Another cool note: at about 2:19 you can hear a helicopter fly over. It was landing on the grounds and had Trump written on it. Since Donald Trump owns the resort, he may have actually been watching me land a fish! Most of the fish including the Tarpon ate the SEM Sculpin and Rubber Legged Dragons.
