Mullet fishing 12/27/2011 off Anna Maria Island, Florida. We were cast netting roe mullet about 1 mile offshore. There were about 5 huge schools. There are two types of roe mullet, red (eggs) and white (sperm). We sorted through and released the white roe mullet. The red roe mullet are sold to East Asian buyers. The back of the boat is filled with red roe mullet.We landed approx. 3,000 pounds of red roe mullet on this day.
