I went on a 1.5 day mothership kayak fishing trip on the Islander out of Point Loma Sportfishing. We started out at China Point and then worked our way up towards the other side of the island. The weather and conditions were perfect. No swell or wind.. and lots of sun!I caught this halibut within the first 15 minutes of being out on the water. The fish weighed a little over 20 pounds.. making this my new personal best! Thanks again to the Islander crew for a great time. They really have the kayak mothership process down solid. I will be back again this year for the 2.5 day trip.
